Up In Smoke

Up In Smoke has been around since 1990.
After originally setting up as a small scale theatre company producing a range of shows including classics, contemporary and original shows, we were asked if we could help other companies with their productions.
This gradually expanded into helping with fetes, parties and other events. 
Some reviews from our Edinburgh festival performance of Twelve Men Good And True have been left on this site as testimony to or previous exploits.
Now, some 35+ years later, we find ourselves with a large, well stocked unit in Gillingham, North Dorset and fulfill requests for a massive variety of tasks.
Pre-Covid Our mantra was "from a single balloon to a complete film set", however that monumental event changed the course of our work completely.
Now we have scaled down & no longer get too involved with large events and have a focus on helping people put on parties in their gardens, village halls & such like.
We have some excellent, easy to use sound systems meaning you can party all night without worrying about a DJ cut off time (and you can play exactly your own choice of music at a volume you decide), as well as some great, equally easy to use party lights.
We also have kit for your themed event, props, party decorations (balloons, banners, props)
We are very proud of our year-round Halloween effects, masks, make up, animations and props which lead straight into Bonfire night.
Though, all of our Fireworks, Halloween props, speakers & other hire kit is available all year
